 WEST BENCH PRINCIPAL APPOINTMENT - News Release

The Board of Education of School District No. 67 (Okanagan Skaha) is pleased to announce that Lisa Edwards has been appointed Principal of West Bench Elementary School, effective August 1, 2010. 

For the past three years, Lisa has been a Vice Principal at Wiltse Elementary School.  As well, this past year she served as the Principal of Summer School.  Prior to that, Lisa had been a teacher at various elementary schools in the district.  

Lisa has a Masters of Arts in Educational Administration and Leadership from San Diego State University and a Bachelor of Education Degree from the University of Victoria.

We congratulate Lisa on her new appointment.

Lisa succeeds Mr. Chris Philpotts who has accepted a position as Principal in Hay River, NWT effective August 1, 2010.  The Board thanks Chris for his commitment to the students and the school community of West Bench Elementary.  We wish him all the best as he returns to the area where he spent the first 17 years of his career in education.
